We are Yorkshire and Proud. Happy Yorkshire Day #yorkshire

Not many people know this but we are a Yorkshire business born and bred. Since starting in Sheffield in 2011, AIR (creators of LightMe) have been on a mission to change the way people use everyday items. From outdoor fuels to candles on the table.

We have always loved being surrounded by the tenacity and passion that comes with the Yorkshire badge. Having graduated from Sheffield Hallam University, we just couldn't bring ourselves to leave such an amazing place.

We continue to drive impact around the world but nothing makes us more happy than to see our candles on the tables and in the homes of our local Yorkshire family.

How to use LightMe Candles?

Many people are new to the concept of liquid candles. We have outlined the benefits and a quick how to use. LightMe candles are on a mission to change an industry which has had very little on offer in terms of cleaner burning candles. Yes, soy candles are absolutely a step in the right direction but they remain a challenge due to wax and energy content. Further to this, soy requires significantly more land to produce the same amount of oils. Thus, we believe its still a real challenge.

WHAT IS A LIGHTME CANDLE?

Lightme Bio-Oil Candle is a liquid candle that uses a sustainable source of vegetable oil which can include Palm Kernel Oil through to Coconut oil. The mix of oils is formulated to reduce soot and create a safer candle for you and the environment. A wick simply sits in the oil and creates a flame which does not create soot marks with a unit that prevents wax spills. Not only is it cleaner but when knocked over, LightMe candles extinguish and can then be lit again (Safer and simpler).

HOW DO THEY BURN?

Typically LightMe candles burn for 35-40 hours. The candle can then be disposed of in line with local recycling conditions and simply replaced by a new candle. There is no need to alter the wick or the candle in any way.

WHAT CAN I PUT THEM IN?

LightMe candles can be used on their own, with a variety of candle lamps or with our specially designed range of lamps. Our lamps have been designed to enhance the atmosphere our candles create whilst increasing the safety of our candles.
